RAJNIKANTH ANNOUNCES POLITICAL PARTY
Chennai: Actor-politician Rajinikanth has promised to be a part in the 2021 elections, but about 2019, he is keeping his cards close. The decision will be taken once the elections are announced — but “we are ready for anything,” he said.
Rajinikanth announced his entry into politics in 2017, at a time when Tamil Nadu faced a vacuum after the demise of AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa and ailing of DMK chief M Karunanidhi.
While Kamal Hassan launched his party Makkal Nidhi Maiyyam, Rajinikanth has not announced a party, instead reiterated that he will work for people of Tamil Nadu.
“In the upcoming assembly elections, we will definitely win the assembly elections and give an honest, transparent, corruption free and spiritual politics without any difference to any religion or caste,” he further said.
AVK Raja, the Chennai central RMM secretary on Thursday said:” We are happy, this is like Diwali for us, Thalaiva is coming to politics. We were confident about the good news after meeting on Monday”.
Rajni said he would announce the details of his party on December 31, 2020. The state elections are slated for the summers. So this will be a perfect New Year for Thala’s fans.
